Current Projects in Mexico

Juarez Mexico

Christmas Over the Border - we have served over 300 children with Christmas since our
first visit in 2005.  There are plans to serve these children again in 2008, but we are uncertain
as to how this service will look in 2008.

Missions Director - we are currently looking for an individual to head up our efforts in
Mexico, and eventually to the greater Latin America region.
Global Orphan Relief is a Christian relief agency serving Orphans in need and a recognized U.S.
Public charity, tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3).  All donations are tax deductible to the extent of the law.  Global Orphan Relief was
founded in 2005 as World Orphan Relief, and received approval for tax-exempt status in March of 2006.
Mission Amigo

Our very first mission was to Mexico for Christmas in 2005.  This was a very
special time as visited our very first Orphanage in Juarez, and started
relationships that will last a lifetime.  This very first team consisted of the
Nordstrom family; Scott, Despina, Sidney, Noah, and Trinity.

Very early on we established a hands-on approach for what we would eventually
do with this organization, and this family remains active with our work today.

GO!'s Vision for Mexico

With the proximity of Mexico to our own country, we believe that this country adds
a unique opportunity to deploy teams in a cost effective manor.  There are many
people who may consider a visit to Mexico that would never consider the leak to a
far-off place like Africa or Asia.  We are committed to serving the children of
Mexico and hope to find the right people to expand our efforts there.  Our plans
include:

  • Opening a Food bank for these children of Juarez, in Juarez or El Paso.
  • Recruiting a Missions Director that will spear-head our efforts into the
    interior of Mexico.
